Did you know there are 14 religious holidays during December?

With deep respect and love, I acknowledge all these great spiritual traditions. But as Mark Twain said, “Write about what you know about.” And so over the next four weeks I will be talking about Christmas.

It is a holiday you may know very well, but did you realize it is also a great opportunity for personal growth.

Most of you know me as either a Chief Master Instructor in the martial art of Taekwondo or as the drummer and band leader for BIG ZEPHYR.

Well, one of the other things I have been doing is pursuing spiritual insight through metaphysical studies. It has been a lifelong process but in 1987 I experienced a breakthrough when I discovered the Unity School of Christianity and their great little magazine, DAILY WORD.

I encourage you to subscribe to this little monthly booklet so you can get inspiration every day. But right now, we want to focus on the Christmas season itself.

Basically Unity suggests that Jesus represents four amazing powers: FAITH, PEACE, LOVE, and JOY. And the birth of Jesus represents the birth of those powers in each of us. Think about that:
