NOTE: Spend a little time reading about Esther and Jerry Hicks and the spirits with whom they are connected known as “Abraham.” ASK AND IT IS GIVEN is a wonderfully helpful book. Here is the link.

QUOTE FOR THE DAY:
“Let your alignment (with Well-Being) be first and foremost, and let everything else be secondary. And not only will you have an eternally joyous journey, but everything you have ever imagined will flow effortlessly into your experience. There is nothing you cannot be or do or have—but your dominant intent is to be joyful. The doing and the having will come into alignment once you get that one down.”

So your dominant intent is to be joyful! Think about that. That is what ABRAHAM says!
I realize that there are huge “sad things,” like
- death of a loved one
- loss of a job
- financial crises
- natural disaster
Let’s set those aside for a moment and start with the ordinary, day-to-day things like
- frustration with another driver
- anger over the broken door, car, bike, A/C, stove, fan, computer, phone, and on and on
- struggles with understanding a new task
- irritation over a coworker / friend / family member
Is it possible with some of these simply to choose joy—or at least to choose CALM—in that moment instead of anger?
YES, it definitely is, so just go and try it.
Choose Calm!
“How,” you ask, “am i supposed to “choose calm?”
Let’s consider TWO ideas:
- BREATHE: as frustration rises, shift your attention to your breath. Focus on it and take at least three seconds to breathe in and breath out. Breathing is an exercise just like a push up or a squat. The more you focus on it, the better you get. And so now, your breathing pattern is long, slow, and deep instead of short, fast, and shallow. But breathing is more than just moving air in and out of your body. IT IS DIRECTLY CONNECTED TO CONSCIOUSNESS.
- LET GO: picture your frustration as a small dark cloud and as you exhale, that cloud leaves your body and gently floats away. Just let it go—along with the issue it represents. The universe abhors a vacuum and so peace and calm replace the cloud of frustration. If you try this technique, I know you will experience something good.
As you learn new ways to face daily frustrations by choosing calm, you will begin to feel a new power, a new confidence. Allow that into your mind and when a “big one” comes along, you will have a new kind of strength with which to face it. Peace, my friends.
